Creating and Editing Field Boundaries (Web)

The Step by Step process below will cover some functions of creating field boundaries.

Manually drawing field Boundaries

  1. Create new or find an existing field under your Grower and Farm that you want to map.
  2. Click Field Name or check mark which appears when hovering over the field name.
  3. Select Boundary Mapping.
  4. Select create new Boundary
  5. Fill out the New Boundary information form and then click Next on the bottom.
    •  Name the boundary
    • Choose Type (Operational or Management) – Click for Page on difference.
    • Select “Draw manually on map”.
  6. Using the tools on the Left side of the screen, create your field boundaries.
    • If you make a mistake, right click inside the boundary and a “Discard” option will display to remove that boundary.
    • If you have created a boundary and want to edit the shape, select the “Edit” option in the tools menu. Click on the boundary and edit circles (vertexes) will appear and allow you to change the shape.  You can also right click on any of the circles (vertexes) to delete the one point.

Uploading already created boundaries via Shape Files

  1. Create new or find an existing field under your Grower and Farm that you want to map.
  2. Click Field Name or check mark which appears when hovering over the field name.
  3. Select Boundary Mapping.
  4. Select Create New Boundary.
  5. Fill out the New Boundary information form.
    •  Name the boundary
    • Choose Type (Operational or Management) – Click for Page on difference.
    • Choose “Upload from a shape file”. Drag the shape files into the box or click Upload
      • Note

        Upload only supports Shape files. Shape files must have 3 of these files (.shp, .dbf, .shx, .prj)

  6. When the upload is successful click on “Next”.
  7. The map will appear with the uploaded boundary.  If needed, edit the boundary then select Save.
