AgVerdict NEXT App Update 3.4.0

With this release, you may receive a popup urging you to update the database on your device. This is currently optional but strongly recommended – the team has made changes to our database structure for higher reliability and to set a consistent foundation for future work. The update process should take less than 2 minutes to complete. The app will need to remain open during this time. In order to delete single growers from the device, you will need to accept this update.

The wording of the popup is as follows:
“Database migration is required to delete growers from this device. Migration can take up to 5 minutes. Please keep the app open during the migration.”

Deletion of Grower

A single grower at a time can now be removed from the device without requiring a log out and log in.

To remove a grower, open the grower list and swipe a grower to the left. A red trash can will appear.

Choosing to delete a grower from the app will force an immediate device sync so that we can be sure that no data is lost. Please note that because of this requirement, it is not possible to delete a single grower when in offline mode or when the device does not have data service.

You also cannot remove either the active grower (i.e., the currently selected grower) or the last grower on the device.

Sync issue fix

A fix has been deployed to create consistency for all custom observations in scouting. Previously, a system template existed which included a slider bar and UOM selection for custom observations. Observations made with this template could be created on the Northstar app but would fail to sync.

We have identified the observations which have failed to sync and have corrected that – all observations which were experiencing problems are now on the AgVerdict servers and can be accessed in reports and on the web.

Additionally, the offending form (pictured below) has been updated to the consistent custom observation form (second picture). No action is needed on your part – the remainder of the forms within the template remain as-is. If you need to create a new template to fulfill the needs of the removed form, it can be done through AgVerdict Classic → Tools → Scouting and Trapping.
