AgVerdict NEXT App Update 3.0.0

NEW: Sampling

View and Collect sampling events

Sampling is now supported on the Agverdict iOS App. Users can now view and collect sample events in offline mode. Sampling events will need to be created in AgVerdict NEXT Web ,then once synced with the app the user will be able to see them. Sampling events can be seen through either list view or map view with indicators for those events which still need to be collected and marked as submitted to the lab.

New Sampling Abilities:

  • Easily view all sampling events in a list in the land hierarchy
  • View sampling events and points on the map
  • Collect samples for the points
  • Submit the sampling event to the lab
  • Creation sampling events from the app (Not available yet, but coming up soon)

Current limitations are that sampling events must have at least one point present for collection. The ability to add points while collecting an event is not yet in place. For sampling events without any points set, the app will prevent collection and will direct the user to Classic.

Creation of sampling events, viewing results, and viewing the sampling layer are all features that are in development for Q4 2024.

Collecting Sampling points

Selecting Point to Collect

Collecting Sampling Points

When collecting sampling points, the user needs to be located near the point to have the ability to collect it. The collection offset can be updated under the apps user preferences to be between 50-300 feet. The sampling point will adjust to the position of the user when they collect the point.

Points that are not collected yet will show as BLUE.

Points that have been collected will show as BLACK.

Skipped points will show as RED.

App User Preferences

Media: Use camera as default Media Source

This setting will automatically default to using the camera for images for scouting and trapping events rather than ask each time whether the user would prefer camera or gallery images. This setting can be changed at any time.

Sampling: Collection offset

Collection offset is a parameter that can be set in order to control how close the user must be to a sampling point in order to collect it. Value must be between 50-300 feet. Note that sampling points will adjust to the position the user is in when they collect the point – a lower value is better for controlling the maximum drift.

Trapping Reports

A new option has been added for trapping reports to collect them for “Current Year” (January 1st through current date).

Additional Items

  • Several improvements have been made to the backend to increase stability and decrease sync issues.
  • Several UI fixes have been deployed for small bugs.
