Commodity Plan/Planting ID is a new input field we added into Recommendation page.
Planting ID is an integral piece of data that is being used by CropSights. This is being used to group Recommendations/App Events and Orders pertaining to one planting for Salinas and Desert Growers that are using CropSights. Previously, Planting ID was being entered into Grower PO# in each Rec of a planting and edited from a corresponding Application event. With this release, we will introduce optimization to this workflow.
New input field added in Recommendation page – Commodity Plan/Planting ID
With a first Recommendation of a planting, adding a new Planting ID will create a new Standalone Commodity Plan with entered Planting ID name after Rec Save/Submit.
- Add a Planting Date range that will reflect as a Start and End date of a planting in CropSights. This field is editable with subsequent Recommendations or in Commodity Plan – we will review this workflow below.

- Grower PO# can be now used for its original purposes.
- When creating subsequent Recommendations of a Planting, the dropdown options will offer you a choice of existing Commodity Plans. The options are pulling Commodity Plans that are of the same Commodity and Farming Method as a Rec, and when Rec’s Proposed Date is within -2 months of Start Date of CP and + 2 months of End Date of CP, and locations that are chosen in the Rec.

‘View’ control will open up a Commodity Plan in another tab so you could view the Commodity Plan before linking the Rec.
Link Recommendations to Commodity Plans from Create/Edit Rec pages
After Saving/Submitting a Recommendation, it will be linked to a Commodity Plan. Commodity Plan is now going to be a bucket where all Recs that are created for a Planting ID are going to be stored and easily accessible. Editing of a Commodity Plan name will propagate to all Recommendations and will be reflected in CropSights. Date Range also can be edited in Commodity plan and will be reflected in CropSights.

There are 3 entry points where you can access Commodity Plan:
- Rec View Page: After Save or Submitting a Rec, we will display a hyperlink of a Commodity Plan that Rec has been linked to.

- Rec List page: we have added an additional column called ‘Commodity Plan/Planting ID’ which you can to your views by using ‘User Preferences’ . The column is sortable and filterable.

Farm Plan List: in Farm Plan list is the list of all Commodity Plans order by their respective Farm Plans. Standalone Commodity Plans that are created from Recommendation page will not have a Farm Plan attached to it, but it will still appear in the list.
Recommendation Report and Work Order Report
With this feature we have added a Commodity Plan/Planting ID to be one of the fields that now will appear in Reports

Rec Based Orders in JDE
Orders that are created in AgV and sent to JDE for Recommendations that were linked to Commodity Plans, will now have Commodity Plan/Planting ID field automatically populated in JDE Work Order bench, for each order line item and in the Order header Attachment:
