CDMS Alternative Label Check Workflow

Use this workflow when CDMS Label Verification is unavailable during Recommendation submission in AgVerdict.

Workflow goal: Allow users to continue Recommendation work with provisional label data while clearly marking the Recommendation as Pending until CDMS verification is completed.

1. Submit the Recommendation

  1. Start Recommendation submission. AgVerdict attempts to run the standard CDMS Label Check.
  2. If CDMS is unavailable, run the provisional check. AgVerdict uses locally stored data to complete a Basic Label Check.
  3. Review the outage prompt. If the provisional check passes, users see a “CDMS Label Check Unavailable” message.
  4. Choose Continue or Cancel. Select Continue to submit the Recommendation with a Pending compliance status, or select Cancel to stop submission.

2. Review Pending Status

  1. Open the Recommendation Details page. Recommendations submitted during an outage display a persistent “CDMS Label Check Pending” banner.
  2. Confirm the Recommendation remains editable. Users can continue making allowed updates while verification is pending.
  3. Wait for CDMS to become available. The Recommendation remains in Pending status until verification is completed.

Recheck When CDMS is Available

  1. Select Run CDMS Label Check. When CDMS is available again, use the action in the pending banner.
  2. Complete verification. AgVerdict runs the CDMS Label Check and updates the Recommendation status.
  3. Confirm the alert clears. After successful verification, the pending banner is removed.
When CDMS is available again, click the Run CDMS Label Check button to complete the full label check. The recommendation status will be updated to Compliant after the verification is completed.

Monitor Pending Recommendations

  1. Open the Recommendation list. Pending Recommendations display warning indicators for quick identification.
  2. Use the Compliance Status filter. Filter by Pending to review Recommendations that still need CDMS verification.
  3. Review tooltips for guidance. Hover over the warning icon to view context and next steps.
  4. Use Workflow Status for tracking. The former “Rec Status” column is now labeled “Workflow Status”.

5. Compliance Restrictions and Available Actions

  1. Allowed actions remain available. While the Recommendation is Pending, users can edit, duplicate, void, delete, create AgVance tickets, and generate standard reports.
  2. Restricted downstream actions remain unavailable. Application Events, Orders, and AgLogic transmissions are unavailable until CDMS verification is complete.
  3. Provisional reports include a pending notice. Recommendation and Work Order PDFs display a “CDMS Label Check Pending” notice when provisional data is used.
  4. Regulatory reports remain unavailable. Shipping Papers, NOI, and AZ1080 are unavailable until CDMS verification is complete.
